Great Day to Play with Art

I am really looking forward to today. I get to spend the day playing with my art. I have no plans for the day and so I have plenty of time to spend working. I spent yesterday afternoon painting canvas for collages. They are ready for stamping and adding collage images to. I will be sharing them over the next couple of weeks once I complete them. To me creating my collage art is a chance to really unleash my creative side and create some of the art that I love doing. Don't get me wrong, I love making cards and always will but dabbling in acrylic paint and taking a blank canvas to a complete collage is exceedingly exhilarating.

This card is part of the series that is on consignment. The image is by Oxford Impressions and the paper is by K & Company. Enjoy!!

It's a Holiday Weekend

I know for many of you it is a holiday weekend...3 day weekend. I do hope you have some fun things planned. It will be a very quiet weekend for me and I hope to get some art done.

The card I am sharing is part of a set of 10 I just finished to send off to a gal who owns a shop in Bisbee Arizona. My cards sell well there and so I keep her stock with them. Isn't that interesting where things sell or don't sell. The cards I generally make are birds, western, and vintage. I am pleased that they are doing so well and I am happy to keep selling them. Enjoy the card I am sharing today.

Good Morning!

One more day until a 3 day weekend. I hope all have plans to enjoy some of the weekend. I won't be going anywhere this weekend. It will be a weekend full of stamping and I am looking forward to it. My boyfriend is on his way to Washington DC to take part in the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally. He left out with a group yesterday morning and is to arrive in Washington DC on Friday. I am proud of him for taking part.

I don't have a card to share with you that represents this rally but hopefully this will do okay in its place. This card is made with an image from Stampinback that is carried I Brake For Stamps. Enjoy!

The Fish....

I created this pin as part of my design work for Inka Stamps. Isn't she an adorable little girl? The fish is almost as big as her!!! Little did I know that Create Byhand challenge for this week is pins and this fits the bill. So my pin serves two purposes. I did enjoy making it!! I don't get to make jewelry very often.

Time for a break...

I am late posting to my blog today. The day just got away from me and I have had too much to do. Plus, I have been looking at my recent work trying to decide what to post today. I have been working on cards that I do for consignment for a company in Arizona. The name of the company is Sun Spirit Studios. I am doing a series of western, vintage, and bird cards. This is a card I have done. The image is by Artful Illusions. I bought this image at a convention last summer. Enjoy!

Celebrate

I created this card for one of my design team projects for Inka Stamps. This image is so sweet and screamed at me to include it in this month's projects. Enjoy!

Another weekend...

Wow, another weekend...but sadly it will fly by and it will be the week again. What I have been working on has nothing really to do with stamping. Tonight is a small get together for my boyfriend's birthday. I am having it at a near by restaurant. I decided that would be the simplest way to do things this year. Yes, his birthday was last Monday and I think I may have shown you his birthday card.

Well, I decided that since we are celebrating tonight that I had to include a card in his gift. I created this card to add. I made it with a collage image from Altered Pages. JR rides motorcycles and so when I saw this image I thought it was perfect. I do hope he likes it! Enjoy!
